"Solo"
She was the only survivor of her litter, hence the name
Solo! During her first couple of weeks in the whelping box she developed
a condition known as "swimmers", laying completely flat on her
front with all four legs spread outwards. With a lot of help and advice
from "Dog World" columnist Jane Lilley, who is a font of
knowledge where canine health problems are concerned, Solo made a
complete recovery.
Solo is a real character within our pack, having a very
adventurous spirit she loves to hunt. With the lack of lions in the
vicinity the local pheasants have to keep their wits about them!!
Winner of many puppy classes at both Championship and
Open Shows, Solo continued this success in Junior and Post Graduate
until leaving the show scene to have her first litter, one of which was Poppy!
